Castolovice Chateau – the history of the castle Castolovice dates back to the 13th century, when it was a fortress in the marshes. In 1992, thanks to the law of restitution passed by the government under the first post communist president, Vaclav Havel, Diana Phipps Sternberg received back the castle of Castolovice. She immediately planted trees, shrubs and flowers in the courtyard and park. A game enclosure was started for stag and white fallow deer. Rose and water gardens with many species of flora was made.
