Fried Cauliflower

Fried cauliflower is a typical Czech quick food. It is appropriate for vegetarians. Czech people eat it for lunch or for dinner. It is usually served with boiled or mashed potatoes. Tartar sauce is good with it. We can add fresh vegetables or various vegetable salads.

Ingredients

1 large cauliflower head
salt to taste
all-purpose flour
3 beaten eggs
2 Tbs milk
2 cups plain bread crumbs
oil for frying

Instructions

Wash cauliflower then boil in salted water for 5-7 minutes. Drain and cool. Cut into serving pieces and dredge first in all-purpose flour, second in eggs with milk, and finally in plain bread crumbs lightly salted. Fry the cauliflower in oil until golden-brown and crispy. Serve with boiled potatoes and tartar sauce (optional).
