Czech fruit dumplings are a very popular and something special with children and adults. Dumplings are made from potato or farmers’s cheese dough. They are filled with a variety of fruits such as peaches, blueberries, apricots, strawberries, plums and others. These are an important part of traditional Czech cuisine. Dumplings are prepared differently in some Czech regions. In some areas they use different toppings like poppy seed or dry breadcrumbs. They are always served hot and normally sprinkled with grated farmer’s cheese, powdered sugar and melted butter.
